CABC 17 - Saturday 14th October 2017

1 & 2 Timothy and Titus

We are delighted that the Bishop of Maidstone and assistant bishop of Chelmsford diocese, Rod Thomas, will be our speaker for CABC 17. Rod is a fervent advocate of expository preaching, of showing practical care for each other within local congregations, of the Christianity Explored course as a great way of leading people to Christ and of one-to-one Bible reading for building everyone up in their faith.

In his first year as Bishop, Rod has travelled to most of the dioceses in the country and is assistant Bishop in about eleven of them. The 'Pastoral Epistles' are a great quarry for learning about ministry and leadership in the local church, so these letters are a great next focus for CABC.

Rod is a Londoner by birth but a Devonian through long exposure! He is married to Lesley (who grew up in Plymouth) and has three adult children: Christopher (married to Claire), Oliver and Lilian.
